Leisure, Health and Fitness Skillnet is a national training network coordinated by Ireland Active, supporting businesses and professionals in the leisure, health, and fitness sector.

Our aim is to enable Ireland Active and REPs Ireland members to enhance skills, improve service quality, and grow their businesses through targeted, industry-led training. We offer access to a wide range of subsidised programmes, covering areas such as customer service, fitness instruction, leadership, inclusion, compliance, and more.

This network is supported by Skillnet Ireland, the national agency dedicated to talent development.

Our Promoting Agency

Ireland Active is a not for profit company that aims to provide support and services to professionalise the leisure, health and fitness industry. In order to avail of training provided by the Leisure, Health and Fitness Skillnet, you must become a member of Ireland Active. With over 450 members, Ireland Active is the representative body for the leisure industry in Ireland. We offer a range of services and networking opportunities to our members.

Our ESF+ Programmes

The European Social Fund (ESF+) supports the delivery of lifelong learning, in particular flexible upskilling and reskilling opportunities that focus on labour market skills needs. It also facilitates career transitions and promote professional mobility for workers across all sectors and regions in Ireland. Skillnet Ireland’s ESF+ activity is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union.
